Nautical Inspiration in La Divina Pastora: Yaima and Riza’s Wedding
The sea, so close to the couple as they are from Havana and Istanbul, was vitally integrated into the design proposal, especially at the ceremony for which a wooden boat was produced to act as a gazebo.
For the reception after the wedding, low tables arranged in mini-rooms allowed the reunion of old friends. The selection of centerpieces included lanterns and low floral arrangements, worked with ropes and sailor knots. The choice of a buffet esilo with food and drink stations in the garden, contributed to the relaxed atmosphere of the afternoon. Each station and bar, simulated a small ship, with its white and blue tones, lifeguards, nets, sails, oars. Wooden structures, barrels, anchors, garlands that illuminated the spaces at the fall of the afternoon, each element of the proposal was harmoniously integrated with the rest to give a true evening with sailors a majestic view of the bay of Havana.
